Carbon Calories makes carbon accounting and reporting, easy and economical for small and medium-sized businesses. We aggregate data from various publicly available databases, including government organizations and academic institutions, life cycle inventory databases, and through collaborative efforts, including through the open-source wiki engine WikiCarbon, and use this data to create definite and standardized carbon emissions reports for the products consumers use.

These reports are our Carbon Statements, which look a lot like Nutrition Facts labels. We also provide a global Carbon Budget and a Daily Carbon Quota that, if followed by each global citizen, will pave the way to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by the year 2030.

By reaching a 55% reduction in annual greenhouse gas emissions, we aim to limit global warming to 1.5°C—a bold and necessary target—in order to stabilize our planet’s climate for the wellbeing of Earth’s species.
